Important Information
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is designed for healthcare providers and scientists interested in lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs), particularly those new to the field. In previous editions, most attendees have been pediatricians, medical geneticists, child neurologists, hematologists, and endocrinologists. However, all medical specialists are encouraged to apply. Non-medical professionals with an interest in LSDs, such as dietitians, nurses, physical therapists, and laboratory technicians are also welcome. The Organizing Committee aims to attract delegates from as many Latin American countries as possible.
LANGUAGE
English is the official language of the course, so a reasonable understanding of English is required.
No translation will be provided.
VISA AND IMMUNIZATIONS
Delegates should check the visa and immunization requirements for entry into GUATEMALA. If you will have a connection in another country, please also check the applicable requirements.
TRAVEL AND HEALTH INSURANCE
It is strongly advised to obtain travel and health insurance for the duration of the course.
REGISTRATION FEE
A registration fee of USD 300.00 will be charged to the participants accepted into the course. This fee is reduced to USD 200.00 for medical residents, graduate students, and post-docs (proof of eligibility will be required) under the age of 40 years.
SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE
All selected delegates will receive the following:

Access to meeting rooms, course materials, and certificate.

Transfer from Guatemala City airport (GUA) to Hotel Soleil La Antigua on September 14th, and from Hotel Soleil (Antigua) to the airport on the afternoon of September 18th (transfers on other dates/times are not included).

Four nights of accommodation (check-in on September 14th and check-out on September 18th) in a single room.

All meals at the hotel from the afternoon of September 14th to lunchtime on September 18th.
This is an intensive course featuring morning and evening lectures, and selected delegates are required to attend all sessions
Although not part of the main program, participants are encouraged to join the optional networking tour on the afternoons of September 16th (a fee may be applicable).
Please note that transportation your city of origin to the airport of Guatemala City (GUA) is not included; each delegate is responsible for their own transportation expenses.
